 Dear Faithful Friends:

Trust you have had a nice Spring and enjoying a pleasant summer so far.  It has been very mild and enjoyable here in southern Idaho. Some snow still is seen on the far northern mountains.

A few of our national pastors in W. Africa have had health problems with their families and most are struggling with a dreadful increase in the cost of living.

Typhoid fever struck Pastor Ken Duah and wife in Ghana and Pastor Calluchi Beiah’s wife in Liberia.  Upcoming surgery is needed for a son of Pastor Koffi in August in Togo at a cost of $500.00.  We need to establish a medical fund for such emergencies.  Please help if you can.

We often complain about the cost of living, however in W. Africa, Pastor Demey our director for Liberia reports that a bag of rice was $25.00 and now is $50.00.  His family consumes two bags a month.  His monthly support is approximately $185.00 per month. Over half of his income is spent on rice alone.  Plus that, he has a much needed vehicle we purchased for his work years ago, but gas at $5.00 a gallon is becoming a real problem.  The family has little left on which to exist; so, we have 14 national pastors and I’m worried for them. He would like to purchase land next to his church at a $1,000.00 to build a medical clinic for the Liberians who have little or no medical facilities available. Pastor Beiah also in Liberia with his church on a military base, needs to finish the building but the materials will cost about $1700.00.  Pray that help will come!

Good reports are received from India and Africa of many salvations and baptisms. In India, Bro. Mathew reports that 240 New Testament have been purchased for their military.  As mentioned, We are making tentative plans for a trip in November again to West Africa (Liberia, Ghana, and Togo) to our national pastors with Way of Truth Baptist Missions.  Trust you will remember us in your prayers and for needed finances.  Thanks again for your prayers and support.
