The Pfaunmiller Update

Dear Ones in Christ,

 We want to thank you for your faithful prayers and support.  This is an update of what has been happening in our lives and the work to which the Lord has called us.

Elwood continues to direct the Way of Truth Ministries and it’s various departments. Also we travel each week, that we are in town, to Bolivar serving as interim Pastor.

We request your prayers as we will be traveling in ministry the next two months and in November Dr. Kissinger and Elwood will be in West Africa for three weeks. There are funds needed in these travels.

Part of the West African trip will be to evaluate the various ministries, encourage our missionaries and meet with and interview a couple of prospects. Inflation has hit West Africa and they have seen costs of food, fuel and other needed items double. They need our prayers and additional support to keep their home and ministry going. All our missionaries are under supported. Please pray about this matter and if possible help would be appreciated. All support for the missionaries goes to them.

Several major physical needs are on our fields; The Duahs in Ghana are on expensive medication to restore health from the Typhoid Fever. Ken also has serious stomach problems which has hindered his ministry. Little Aletha seems to have been greatly helped with the glasses for which we praise the Lord.  Liberia, Where Pastor Beiah’s wife, Rose, is also recovering from the Typhoid Fever and is also on medication. She had been in the hospital for several days. In Togo, Pastor Gbolou’s wife, Josephine, was expecting their third child when a mass was seen and she had much pain. She was in and out of the hospital and finally confined to the hospital for rest. All seemed well with the baby and over night the baby’s heart stopped. The baby was delivered. Pray for the family and for Josephine for this loss. Also she will have this mass removed and needs our prayers.  Also in Togo Pastor Koffi’s son Peter will undergo surgery for a hernia.

Some precious folk and churches have given to a medical fund and we have been able to help with these health needs. Additional funds are needed here as well. Thank you.

Pray for our health needs as the lord brings them to mind, and for wisdom for this ministry.
