SUMMER, 2007

SPRING/SUMMER

Greetings to all of you who so faithfully support us in prayer, finances and encouragement! Yes, it has been

awhile since many of you have heard from us. We had hoped to get out our quarterly letter by the first week

of April. But as you will notice by the rest of this letter we have been busy this year…very busy. And for that

we praise the Lord.

Since January 1 (’07): I/we [Joyce has been with me for many of the meetings this year] have:

-          Traveled in ministry as far west as St. Louis, MO, as far south as Bradenton, FL and as far north/east as

Nova Scotia, and northern New Brunswick, Canada (and northern Maine)….some 16,000 miles…all driving.

-          Spoken in a total of 11 churches

-          [As V P of Way of Truth Ministries] attended the “Summit” meeting (St. Louis) and annual and quarterly

      board meetings (in Altoona, PA)

-          Conducted and taught the 6 week winter module of the Institute of Biblical Studies in Altoona, PA

-          Done a prayer conference [Faith Baptist, Altoona, PA] and a prophecy conference [Hillsdale Baptist, Tampa, FL]

-          Spoken to a preachers fellowship (Ocala, FL)

-          Done pulpit supply in two churches in PA

-          [Joyce] Played the organ in a number of churches and have done several “mini” organ concerts and

played organ during a Bible conference

-          Been blessed by seeing at least three people come to know Christ in the last 6 months.

As I begin writing this newsletter we are in Nova Scotia, Canada…AGAIN! On May 30 (’07) we received a call

that Joyce’s father (who turned 101 last September) had gone to be with the Lord whom he had served for the

better part of a century. Of course we had to quickly get ready and drive back here after being home just three

weeks from the ministry trip we had made to this part of the continent. The funeral was on June 3, 2007.  We

must quickly return home to be back in the pulpit.

Looking ahead: Part of our ministry is to assist churches in need: Not far from where we live is a church that

has been without a pastor since February We anticipate being able to preach (and play the organ) on occasion

there when we are not out traveling in meetings. So right now even when we are not “traveling afar” we are

still very active in ministry. We anticipate a meeting in VA and a trip to northeast Ohio. Plans are in the making

for the fall module of the Institute of Biblical studies. And of course there is the rest of the fall schedule

which includes a couple of mission’s conferences (one of them in Ohio)…but we will report that in a

future newsletter the Lord willing.

Recently I saw and talked with Dr. P.D. Cherian, president of South India Baptist Bible College. He still wants

me to come and spend several weeks teaching at the college in southern India. I would love to get that into

my schedule…but there is still the need of $2500.00 for me to do so. Could you help?

Challenges: To some of you the following will be old news…to many of you it will be new:

-          In January I was burglarized in the St. Louis area…lost all my I.D. and approximately. $600.00 worth of

goods. [A HUGE thanks to those who helped toward recovery from the financial loss…especially

West Overland Bible Church and individuals] The police caught the burglar but did not recover any of my stolen goods.

-          About one week after returning home from St. Louis our “first” vehicle had a “flukie” engine problem,

which resulted in a $2800 repair bill! [A HUGE thanks to those who knew about this challenge and responded with financial help…including our home church, Emmanuel Baptist (both the church and an individual)

      in Mechanicsburg, PA!]

-          About one week after the repaired vehicle came home from the shop I was on the PA turnpike on my way

to Altoona to teach an IBS class in the old ministry vehicle WHEN THE ENGINE “BLEW” ON IT!!!! We had

to get another vehicle. [A HUGE thanks especially to the two churches (Grace Bible Chapel – PA

and Grace Bible Church- FL) that learned of our need and helped financially.] We had to "

rob Peter to pay Paul” as the

old expression goes, and are still trying to recover totally from that loss. There is a quite a ways to go yet.

Praise and Prayer: We praise the Lord for some very good meetings! And especially for the souls saved! We

praise the Lord for safety in travel! Please do pray for effectiveness in ministry…we cannot do without your prayers! And please continue to pray for the needed funds to do the work of the ministry. We still need more

monthly financial support and there are still the travel expense needs both at home and overseas (if the Lord permits).

Thanks: As always we are very grateful for those of you who encourage us, pray for us and give toward our

ministry needs. We trust the Lord will greatly reward you both here and in eternity.

Your servants in the service of the Savior,

     Milt Lambertson
